Terms of Use
Effective 12 October 2026
Licence
Plainspoken is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:
apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula
The licensor named in that agreement is Szekely Karoly, an individual developer based in Romania. By downloading or using Plainspoken you agree to it. Nothing on this page changes it; the sections below only explain how the purchase works and what to keep in mind when you use the app.
Free trial and purchase
- You can try every feature free for 7 days.
- After the trial, a single purchase unlocks Plainspoken on the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch that use your Apple Account.
- It is paid once. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
The price is shown in your local currency in the app before you buy and may differ by country and over time.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Restoring
If you reinstall the app or use another device signed in to the same Apple Account, choose Restore Purchases in the app.
Recording other people
You are responsible for following the laws that apply where you record. Many places require the consent of the people being recorded. Do not use Plainspoken to record anyone unlawfully.
Accuracy
Transcripts, speaker labels, summaries and translations are produced automatically and can contain mistakes. Check anything important against the recording.
Your notes
Your notes are stored on your devices and in your iCloud. I cannot see them and cannot recover notes you have lost, so keep the backups you need.
Privacy
How Plainspoken handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
